THE FARMS

We know our sources. We have relationships with two certified New York state industrial hemp farms that adhere to organic and sustainable agriculture practices. The farms propagate varieties of Industrial Hemp that produce full spectrum cannabidiol (CBD) oil distillate, and CBD isolate. Industrial Hemp is non-psychoactive and contains less than .3% THC.

THE GROWTH

The farms use organic soil and carbon fertilizers (amendments) to encourage healthy growth. Carbon amendments capture vital nutrients within the soil and support diverse populations of microorganisms responsible for the release and recycling of nutrients. Carbon improves the ability of the soil to capture and hold water, which is key to creating resilience across an agricultural landscape. Better water and nutrient cycling means less dependence on external inputs.

THE PROCESSING

After harvest, supercritical CO2 and subcritical ethanol methods are used for the extraction of the hemp oil we use in our products. Both processes are supported by the FDA and have been given the Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) stamp of approval. Third-party lab tests are used throughout the production process to ensure accuracy in potency and to monitor for contaminants like pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, microbes, mildew, and mold.

THE CONCENTRATES

Two types of concentrated cannabidiol are used in Bison Botanics’ products. Full spectrum cannabidiol and 99.9% cannabidiol isolate. Both are third-party lab tested before the farms and processors ship them to us. Assuring the concentrates we use are free from contaminants like pesticides and heavy metals.

FULL SPECTRUM CBD

Full spectrum contains cannabinoids like CBD, CBDA, CBG, CBGA, CBC, CBCA, THCA, and THCV. We use full spectrum distillate which is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals such as; iron, calcium, magnesium, vitamins A, B, C, E, and beta-Carotene, Omega 3 & 6 essential fatty acids and chlorophyll. Full spectrum CBD distillate contains 0.3% THC or less. Full-spectrum is sometimes referred to as whole plant CBD Concentrate. ISOLATED CBD

CBD isolate contains zero THC. We make our gummies and pet oil CBD isolate. We also offer our full line of oils made with CBD isolate. We recommended products made with CBD isolate for consumers concerned about THC testing.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & INGREDIENTS

Before launching on December 1, 2018, we spent 12 months researching and seeking out high-end ingredients for all of our products. We use MCT oil in our tinctures, natural beeswax, and organic essential oils in our CBD salve. Our relationships with New York state farms and processors have allowed us to keep our prices fair. We continue to introduce products we stand behind and use personally. Our R&D is ongoing, keep an eye out for new products, including gummy flavors!
